Aug. 15th, 2008 @ 04:40 pm apple computer repair?

hei hei.

i just moved to Olso for the semester to study at UiO. unfortunately for me, my computer is broken. double (or dobbelt, i guess) unfortunate is that i only know the tiniest pinch of norwegian so far, so i don't know how to figure out where to go. does anyone know of a Mac/Apple computer repair shop, or alternatively, a used computer store?

takk for hjelpen. :)

If only my Oslo-geography was better so I knew where Sandvika was. It's all Oslo to me:P I live up north where we have no eplehus:P

Sandvika is about half an hour outside of Oslo by train.

Try the first one, it´s dead easy to find - just get off at Kirkeristen tram stop and you should probably see it from there. If you can´t find it, ask for Operapassasjen, and you´ll be pointed in the right direction.

There´s also a Mac store at Steen & Strøm, one of Oslo´s fancier shopping malls - subway to Stortinget, choose Øvre Slottsgate exit and you´re just one block away (take left down Prinsens gate and it´s on your next left). Good luck and welcome to Oslo - hope you´ll enjoy it here :)

forget sandvika! there are at least 3 Apple stores in Oslo to my knowledge.

I was also at UiO and my MacBook broke down. Go to Oslo City (the mall near central train station) and there is an Apple service center on the top floor. However, I must warn you that you understand what you are signing on the dotted line. My MacBook was maybe 6mths old and it started crashing (blacked out for no reason). The first time the folks fixed it for free because it was hardware issue (under warranty). Then I brought it home and it had multicolor screen of death! Took it back and it cost me a bit over 1000 nok to fix! Apparently it was a software issue not covered by warranty!
